loch-ness-tours.com is an independent guide, not a tour operator. When you book a tour through a link or booking widget on this site, we may earn a commission from GetYourGuide or Viator. This costs you nothing extra — you pay the same price you would booking directly.
2. How it works
We participate in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. Our "Check Availability" buttons and the embedded booking widget carry a partner reference so GetYourGuide can attribute a booking to us and pay a small commission. The price, availability, cancellation terms and the booking itself are all handled by GetYourGuide and the tour operator — not by us.
A small number of tours are not sold on GetYourGuide at all. Where that is the case and the tour is worth recommending, we link it on Viator instead and say so on the page. Those links carry a Viator partner reference and work the same way: same price to you, commission to us. Where neither network sells a tour we name — the Deepscan boat at Drumnadrochit and Jacobite's Clansman Harbour cruise-and-castle package are the current examples — we say that plainly and send you to the operator, earning nothing.
3. Our editorial independence
Commissions do not change what we recommend. The featured Edinburgh day tour is highlighted because it is the most-reviewed Loch Ness day trip from Edinburgh on the platform (4.6 stars from 19,000+ reviews) — and we say plainly when a hire car or an Inverness base would serve you better than any coach tour. Where the loch can disappoint as a drive-by, or where add-ons cost extra, we tell you.
